Puccini Friends:

I look forward to our first program of the year scheduled for Sat., Oct. 19 at the lovely home of Doug Haloftis, 4626 Cherokee Trail (in Bluff View).  Doug is always a gracious host and his art filled home is a lovely place to meet. Our program features a young tenor, Francisco Bedoy, who recently came to Dallas after completing a Masters of Music degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Joining Francisco is Stephen Dubberly, from the opera department at UNT, who is always a favorite.

Francisco Bedoy, Tenor

Francisco Bedoy grew up in Mexico and specializes in songs from his native country.  Stephen grew up in Uruguay and is very familiar with songs from that country, so their program will focus on both these genres.  This promises to be a delightful afternoon of wonderful music which will also feature familiar Italian arias.

Most have renewed their membership for this year, but if you have not yet renewed, please do so!  You may mail your renewal check to Puccini Society of Dallas, P.O. Box 25105, Dallas 75225.Our program charge is the usual $25 which could also be mailed to that address. Dues for a year are $35 per person and $70 for a couple.  It is always helpful to receive your reservation in advance of the event to plan for adequate seating and food.
I look forward to seeing everyone following the summer months, and I’m sure you will enjoy this outstanding afternoon of special music.
