2022

Puccini Friends;

We have postponed our previously scheduled program at the Harlan Crow Estate to a later date.  On May 1 we will present Jonathan Eaton, Director of Opera at UNT, and singers from the school in an afternoon program at the Harlan and Kathy Crow Library.  More details will follow.

Our society also helped underwrite Mary Dibbern’s latest CD recording of songs by Mary Howe (1812-1964).  Howe was a concert pianist, organist and composer and was an important voice in American Music.  This pioneering album makes its debut and introduces us to her wonderful music.  The recording was released this week featuring Mary Dibbern, pianist, Courtney Maina, soprano, and Christopher Leach, tenor.

We will not present a program for our group during the Dallas Opera season this year.  However we hope to present an April program and then on May 1 we have a wonderful and very special program planned at the home of Harlan Crow in their beautiful library.  The opera department at UNT will perform and it promises to be a memorable afternoon.

Hoping everyone is staying warm and safe as we begin 2022. We are looking forward to an exciting year.
