An interesting and long program of demanding art songs in French and German, and a moving song cycle by American composer Ben Moore, based on letters by Vincent van Gogh to his brother, Theo. Lavish refreshments and lethal alcoholic libations. A large turnout.
Zach Hess is a tenor in Dallas Opera Chorus. He has sung numerous small rolls with the company, and will be in the upcoming production of Don Carlos.
Collaborative pianist Cheryl Lemmons was an outstanding accompanist. Her solo in Morgen by Richard Strauss was extraordinarily beautiful.
